I have a whirlpool 40 gallon water heater model ee2h40rd045v. Centauri plus condensing water boiler riverside hydronics upper led readout 10 3. Lower led readout 10 4. Five flashes every three seconds indicates an internal sensor failure.

Sensor failure sometimes the sensors that read the temperature of the water can fail which is difficult to detect without using a multimeter to measure the temperature sensor for a shorted circuit.
